NuFamily Projects

Supporting our growth so that we can support others

NuLife and its various ‘Nu’ enterprises, including NuCanna, are all not-for-profit – we only make profit to give it away to support people, communities and the growing good on our planet. On our NuLife Project pages you will find the projects that will directly support the growth and development of NuLife, and below you will find outside causes and projects we feel inspired to support.  You can also nominate a cause project or business you would like to support. As we grow we can add more projects, so please support us by buying your CBD oils through us and sign up as a NuLife member or if you can afford a small monthly donation support us as a NuFriend.

Thank you for your support

MAPS RESEARCH
MAPS HAS RECEIVED REGULATORY APPROVAL TO CONDUCT A STUDY OF SMOKED MARIJUANA FOR SYMPTOMS OF POSTTRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER (PTSD) IN VETERANS OF WAR.

MAPS is working to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of smoked botanical marijuana as a prescription medicine for specific medical uses to the satisfaction of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The U.S. Public Health Service approved their study of smoked whole plant (botanical) marijuana for symptoms of PTSD in U.S. veterans. MAPS worked for over 22 years to obtain marijuana for medical marijuana drug development research, and the approval is a historic shift in federal policy.

On December 17, 2014, MAPS was awarded a $2 million grant from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to complete the study. The study has received full approval from the FDA, DEA, and Institutional Review Boards (IRBs).

The study began in January 2017 at Scottsdale Research Institute in Phoenix, Arizona.

Whether it’s finding new ways and solutions to combat food waste and hunger, to using technology to mobilise Brits to take meaningful action. The food rescue model they use has been implemented and adapted across the globe and they intend to pay it forward.

Ellen MacArthur Foundation
OUR MISSION IS TO ACCELERATE THE TRANSITION TO A CIRCULAR ECONOMY.

The Ellen MacArthur Foundation was launched in 2010 to accelerate the transition to a circular economy. Since its creation the charity has emerged as a global thought leader, establishing the circular economy on the agenda of decision makers across business, government and academia.

Looking beyond the current take-make-dispose extractive industrial model, a circular economy aims to redefine growth, focusing on positive society-wide benefits. It entails gradually decoupling economic activity from the consumption of finite resources, and designing waste out of the system. Underpinned by a transition to renewable energy sources, the circular model builds economic, natural, and social capital. It is based on three principles:

  • Design out waste and pollution
  • Keep products and materials in use
  • Regenerate natural systems
